It is our absolute honour and pleasure to have officially teamed up with Maggie’s Newcastle as our official charity sponsor. We have been working with Maggie’s a little since September 2019 to help raise much needed funds however we felt it was time to make it official and make them our charity partner.
We first learned about Maggie’s after a close personal loss and we have been helping raise funds ever since. We honestly believe that the centre at the Freeman is an amazing facility that helps families that are facing unbelievable stress and strain living with cancer. Maggie’s is very close to our hearts and our aim is to help in any way we can.
Maggie’s is based in the grounds of the Freeman Hospital for people with cancer in the North East. The beautiful building and gardens are designed to feel calming; a place where you can escape the hospital to sit quietly with a cup of coffee, speak to others who are going through something similar or seek advice from their expert cancer specialists.
One of the things that’s special about Maggie’s is that you don’t need an appointment. You can just walk-in Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm and access the support you need. You can also call the team on 0191 233 6600.
We always try and support local wherever we can so we are delighted to have officially teamed up with Maggie’s. going forward we will be organising fantastic events and challenges for people to get involved with so they can help raise much needed funds for this very special charity.
